"Frankie" It Has been 3 long hard years since I lost Frankie, only now am I able to face placing his picture here. Frankie left a lasting legacy and took a huge piece of my heart when he left. I can still feel him here and Ripzi (who never smiled) now does so exactly as Frankie did. 2015 Futurity and saw people who knew or had Frankie and the hurt was still there for me. No dog will ever be my Frankenstien, no love will ever be as deep. Rest in Peace sweet boy. FC/AFC Hanna Remchester White MH RIP
Hanna was a Great Champion, Companion and Hunter. God has one HELL of a bird dog now...
Nikki & Jenny´s Grave
Today we lay Citori to rest. MacGyver and Nikki/Jenny´s graves can be seen to the right.
This is my special place, a place for those who have given so faithfully to spend eternity. Many years ago it was Jenny´s time. We did not own a place and did not want to just dump the body of an old friend. We went up behind Old Cordes and buried her in some fine quail country. It was not long before her grave was molested and scattered. When it was Nikki´s time we decided to bury her somewhere safer. I chose an old protected piece of a Forest Service Admin site. Then MacGyver grew tired. He lasted 16 1/2 years but he too would join his Mother and life long friend Jenny who was memorialize on Nikki´s cross. Steve Harwood made MacGyver a nice metal cross with his name welded on it. A few more years past as Citori lived her life out visiting those graves and hunting the same hills her past companions hunted. In January of 2007 Citori joined them for good.
In the winter of 2008 while hunting the area we stopped by for a visit only to find someone had dug up all of my dogs graves. It was an extensive job as I had nailed the crosses in with 12" nails horizontally. I was heart broken. What kind of person digs up a graves and steals crosses?
On January 8th 2011 Wendy and I went up and after a few silent moments we planted Mexican Poppies for them this spring.
